  A. – Monthly donations by default have no end date and will only cancel once a donor chooses to. To cancel your monthly donation to the Power of 100 Campaign, please visit the Canada Helps (www.canadahelps.org) website to access your monthly donation details and cancel the donation through your profile.   Your donation to the Nightstop program through the Power of 100 Campaign will play a crucial role in providing emergency shelter and support to young people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Specifically, your donation will be used in the following ways:

Recruitment and Training of Hosts: Your contribution will support the recruitment efforts to find compassionate individuals or families willing to open their homes as temporary shelters for young people in need. It will also cover the training costs involved in preparing the hosts to provide a safe and supportive environment.
  2. Emergency Supplies and Resources: Your donation will help ensure that the Nightstop program has the necessary emergency supplies and resources readily available for the young people. This can include items like food, clothing, toiletries, bedding, and other essential items they may require during their stay with host families.
  3. Ongoing Support: The funds raised through the Power of 100 Campaign will provide critical ongoing support to the young people placed with host families. This support can range from counseling services, educational assistance, life skills training, transportation, and any other necessary support to help them stabilize their lives and work towards a brighter future.

  Critical ongoing support provided to the young people in the Nightstop program is essential for their well-being and journey towards stability. Your donation to the Power of 100 Campaign will contribute to ensuring this support continues. Here’s how the ongoing support is typically provided:

  1. Case Management: Case workers work closely with the young people to assess their needs, develop personalized support plans, and provide ongoing guidance. They act as a consistent point of contact, offering emotional support, advocacy, and connecting them to necessary resources.

• Q. Can I choose to donate more than $100 a month if I have the means to do so?

  Absolutely! You are welcome to donate a custom amount directly on the donation form. Please locate the ‘Custom Amount’ option underneath the suggested donation amounts. There, you can enter the specific amount you wish to contribute.

• Q. Can I donate a custom amount less than $100 a month?

  While the Power of 100 Campaign focuses on gathering support from individuals willing to contribute $100 a month for 12 months, we understand that not everyone may be able to commit to that specific amount.

  To donate a custom monthly amount or make a one-time donation, please locate the ‘Custom Amount’ option underneath the suggested donation amounts. There, you can enter the specific amount you wish to contribute. Please keep in mind that donations below $100 a month will not be considered as part of the official Power of 100 Campaign member.
