L.E.G.I.T. Workers assist youth 12 – 20 yrs. who are involved in gangs, at-risk of gang involvement and/or have a history of involvement with the criminal justice system.
L.E.G.I.T. Workers work 1:1 with youth from an outreach perspective to go where youth are, identifying and assisting with immediate needs. They also provide prevention-focused workshops throughout York Region that focus on anti-violence, anti-bullying, gang awareness, mentorship and leadership training.
