TESTIMONIAL  (1/4)

“Last year, OPUS Homes participated in the 360°kids Corporate Challenge, and what an experience it was! Hearing personal stories from youth and staff who have connected with 360°kids was truly eye opening.  Experiencing a cold night, trading essential items, and finding a meal/drink, really put into perspective the struggles and challenges these youth face, right here in our own community.  Motivated by last year’s event, OPUS Homes has decided to be this year’s Event Sponsor for the 360°Experience to help 360°kids in their mission to reach more homeless youth in our community, and remind them that they are not alone.”

TESTIMONIAL (4/4)

“Sarah’s journey through foster care led her to 360°kids in Richmond Hill. Through 360°kids supports, Sarah completed her high school diploma, found job opportunities, and received guidance as a new parent.  Today, Sarah has a stable home in Barrie, a reliable job, and a loving home with her daughter. 360°kids played a crucial role in Sarah’s life, providing the support and resources she needed to overcome challenges and build a successful future.”

Have you ever wondered what it’s like for a youth on the streets?

More often than not, homelessness is not the same story, nor is it always visible.
Thanks to the generosity of York Regional Police, Kaiser & Partners and our volunteer youth actors, we were able to create this amazing short video, about life on the streets and the hidden truths of homelessness.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is required of me to participate?

There are three ways to take part in the 360°Experience, all of which involve a time commitment and a fundraising goal. Anyone who meets the criteria can participate.

    1. For the In-Person Experience, you must commit to spend one whole night outside, 12 hours and keep in mind the experience runs on a Thursday, this is to help remind participants, the challenges you face are real scenarios, faced by youth experiencing homelessness.  The second part in order to participate, you must raise a minimum of $2,000.
    2. The Corporate Challenge, requires teams to raise a minimum of $5,000 for a team of 10 (Max number).  The event is held at the Community Safety Village in Stouffville and participants must be present for 6+hours.
    3. The Student/Virtual Challenge, requires individuals to commit to fund-raise $100 and most importantly bring awareness of the issues, faced by youth experiencing homelessness and the programs and services available at 360°kids to help support youth in a time of crises. Individuals are asked to participate for 6 hours.

We encourage teams to have fun fundraising for their goals. We often have competitions amongst individuals and teams  that help create excitement and in the end, help us raise more funds for our incredible programs and services.

In November, we will be hosting information zoom sessions where you can learn about each stream and choose the experience that suits you best.

  • Is there flexibility in groups and what about accessibility?

At 360°kids, we strongly believe in promoting Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). While we encourage everyone to participate in our experiences, we also provide flexibility in team formations to accommodate different preferences.

Our experiences and challenges can be tackled by teams consisting of two or more participants. For instance, last year we had the Hyundai Canada team that chose to participate in two stream: In-Person, where six people participated,  Corporate Challenge with 8 teams, and the option to form a virtual team was also considered. All these teams were part of the larger Hyundai Canada Team, and we assisted them in creating a tailored experience for their organization.

A very popular option for schools and sports teams is the  hybrid of In-Person and Virtual Experience.   Through the years, we have developed a School Challenge, specifically designed for students, schools, or sports teams. In this challenge, one or two individuals from the school participate in the In-Person, while the rest of the school joins in virtually and receives updates on the progress of the In-Person participants. This allows students to learn and follow the progress of their peers, while those participating in-person have the entire school cheering them on.

We want to provide flexibility to make this an amazing experience for all, we are here to assist you in finding the best approach that suits your team or organization.
